Bicycles are not usually thought of as a form of public transport, but the concept has been challenged successfully in the world in the public use of bicycles (pubs). The introduction of the smart card in the pub concept was created on “Smart Honda and the bike path to becoming a city REVOLUTIONARY public transport system in the world. Paper that will explain the publication concept, consider a pub, and talk of current and planned implementation of the Smart Honda.

What is a pub and How Does It Work? The basic premise of the publication is the concept of sustainable transport. Publication is ideal for urban transport, due to its advantages in other types of public transport, as are the following:

- Provides in transport demand,- Arrive at destination is not accessible transit- Requires less than the other mode of transportation infrastructure,- Is it cheaper to produce and maintain,- Do not add to congestion, – do not create pollution,- Reduce the theft of personal bicycles, and- Provide users with the added benefit of exercise.

Some other mode of transportation offers many or all of these benefits. A pub is a bike that can be used to meet their transportation needs in an environmentally sound manner. One is to use a pub to get to their destination, and then leave the publication at that location for another use. The theory is that a few hundreds or thousands of pubs in the street, there should always be a publication available for use.

Three generations of pubs, with four current generated. To better understand the third and fourth generation of pubs, which is better known as Smart bike, it is important to understand how the concept of pub come. Probably 50 cities around the world in the bars. Most of these programs exist in Europe, including some of North America, and some in Asia. The program is known to the pub under different aliases, such as “the city of bicycles”, “free bike” and under a rainbow of colors is painted, “White Bicycles”, “Yellow Bikes”, “Red Bicycle “, etc..First generation of pubs

The pub concept started in 1968 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a progressive ideology of a period. Cricket Schimmelpennink with the government of the city of Amsterdam launched the “White Honda pub program placement of a small number of pubs in the city.

The bars then distributed throughout the city and always clean and cheap transport. Unfortunately, the program is abused. Pubs are not left on sidewalks, but taken at her home for private use or thrown in many canals of Amsterdam. More than a decade later, a similar program launched in Milan, Italy, with 1,000 pubs, but not when none of the pubs will be returned to the streets after a short period of use.

First generation of pubs

First generation of pubs, like the Dutch program, usually given the massive use of the bicycle market, which is all painted in a color to the output of other bikes. There is no place where pubs must be returned, so one can find a license or being anywhere on the road. The program type of publication often feel free to the user. A group of communities, sometimes with financial support from local government, will help pub program.

In the United States as the summer of 2001, has about 25 of the first generation pub program. American cities in the first generation include pubs Portland, OR; Minneapolis / St Paul, MN, Boulder, CO; Princeton, Quezon City, and others. The first generation of American pubs are a success, however, the bars are stolen big problems. While the first generation of pub program is the least expensive to run because most of the materials and time are donated, is the least reliable for people who want to use a pub because it is confident to find a location. In addition, no built-in security features to prevent the theft of people in the pub. The need for improvements led to the second-generation pub.

Second generation of pubs

Designer of the second generation of pubs learned from their experiences and created a publishing program that is more reliable and less likely stolen. This time, specially designed pubs are made. The bars are designed to be utilitarian and require less maintenance than the previous pub. Including pubs, special racks are designed to bars and are eliminated. The racks are strategically placed at train and bus stops, multi-storey housing complexes, shopping districts, attractions and other places that receive a large volume of foot traffic. The racks took the randomness of the search for a pub.

To ensure the pubs are returned to the racks, a coin-operated locking mechanism is attached to the center of the handlebar. To use a pub, is a refundable deposit insert a coin to unlock the device from the rack. The coin has a large deposit that is sufficient to entice users to return to the publication to another special designed rack and locking that the deposit is returned.

The maximum amount of coins in the country serve as a reservoir for the device, ranging from $ 1 – $ 3, however, for different countries. To ensure a publication that will be readily available for use, is crucial to concentrate the bars within a specified limit. The border with the central business district of the city and near dense neighborhoods. Second generation of pubs are more expensive than their predecessors were, so a nonprofit organization that was created to help the publication from time to time program. In most cases, the local government is to help organizations with funds. Additional funding was provided by advertising, which may appear on the disc wheels in the bar and screen.

The first launch of the second generation of the program published in 1995 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Niels and his father, Wilhelm Christiansen, co-designer of the Danish publication, with the city government of Copenhagen, and the Honda Foundation of the City of Copenhagen published in 1100 placed the entire city. The pub is very popular and quite successful.Politiken, A major daily newspaper in Copenhagen, followed by a pub for 12 hours and found only eight minutes not in use. The Danish publication is the longest running pub program is working now.

The second generation of the pubs are more reliable than previous generations. First, because the bikes are specially designed to be more durable and therefore requires less maintenance. Secondly, individuals learned the location of the publication racks, to get a pub became more reliable. However, even with these improvements, the tracking of stolen bars is almost impossible, as theft remains a major problem in Copenhagen and similar programs pub.

If you are looking for a truly unique piece of work, you need to check out the furniture designed by John Makepeace. His furniture can best be described as unique and an adventure. When John was merely eleven he saw his first cabinet being made at a visit to a designer in Copenhagen. John traveled around the United States looking at designs before he began his own shop.

John’s skills were noticed and it led him to be picked as a member of the United Kingdom’s Crafts Council. He has done work for numerous places, a few of the more highly known being Oxford and Keble College.

If you have ever seen his work you would know that he gets his designs from interests in several areas like architecture, technology, arts, material science, and the environment. Plus John Makepeace also wants to know what his client is looking for in their furniture. So along with all the interests he holds they are combined with the wants of the customer and a unique piece is created.

Looking at his designs of chairs it’s easy to see why people would want to have him design a piece of furniture for them. The knot chair is a fabulous piece that anyone who came into your house and saw would comment on. The trine chair is a fabulous dual colored chair that is unique and very beautiful. The throne is very odd looking, but still a beautiful piece of work made by John Makepeace. The burr myrtle thrones are awesome looking, so unique that it’s easy to see someone asking where and how you got the chair.

John Makepeace also makes cabinets and tables and desks. Let’s look at some of the tables that John has made in the past. The fountain is an outstanding work of art. The top is beautiful, but the legs of this table make it fantastic. The forum is a beautiful round table with a hole in the middle that makes this table a genuine piece of art.

An English fruit is a wonderful table that has fruits on it, carved into the wood. This table is just simply beautiful work. How about the cabinets made by John Makepeace? They are just as unique as his other works. The obelisk is a beautiful cabinet that really can’t be described well enough to tell its beauty. It has a rough top, and is not a normal size, but it’s a fabulous work of art. Really go look at it and you will know what is meant by this description.

Petra is a fabulous cabinet that isn’t a particular shape, but very unique. It would be a wonderful piece to have in any house. The Luxor is another wonderful piece of work by John Makepeace. Simply put, it’s beautiful. So if you want to have some furniture that will be one of a kind, you should go and check out John Makepeace and see if you can have him make something for you. Whatever it is it’s sure to be beautiful!

In Greek Mythology, it is said that Pandora was the first woman to ever walk on Earth. When Prometheus stole the secret of fire from Mt. Olympus, the gods became angry that they decided to punish mankind. Zeus, the god of gods, ordered Hephaestus to create a woman out of Earth. This woman was given by all the gods of Olympus, gifts that were supposed to bring misery to mankind. She was given beauty, charms, deceit, cunning, boldness and more. After she was given all these gifts, she was named Pandora, which means “All Gifted”.

She was then taken by Hermes to Epimetheus, Prometheus’ brother. Despite Prometheus’s warning not to accept any gifts from the gods, his brother was captivated by the beauty and charms of Pandora that Epimetheus received her willingly. That, according to Greek mythology was the beginning of man’s misery.

Other versions speak of a vessel or a jar (not a box) that Pandora opened. When she opened the vessel, the contents of it scattered and since that time, the lands and the seas were filled with evil. Other texts say that the jar contained blessings but as Pandora opened the container, all the blessings were cast away and were irretrievable.

But whatever the version, one thing is common there was one thing left in the vessel and that is ‘Hope’.

Recently, about 25 years ago, a goldsmith named P. Enevoldsen and his wife established a Jeweller’s shop in Copenhagen Denmark. They designed, manufactured and sold jewlry and accessories that contained various charms and beads. Usually, these charms are made of sterling silver, gold, precious or semi-precious stones and an item unique to Italy, Murano Glass.

The design of the charms were exquisite and when combined together creates a truly marvelous piece of jewelry. The company sold jewelry parts and customized designs. These charms and beads could be bought seperately from bracelet and necklace chains and could be assembled by the consumer themselves if they wanted to. The consumers could also purchase the cutomized jewelry that has already been assembled with the parts they fancied if they wanted to.

The demand for the items increased significantly to the point that the owners decided to wholesale their product to differnt countries. when they started exporting them, and their designs were openly accepted by a lot of patrons. Their products are known as Pandora Charms / Pandora Jewelry.

Why their wares were named after a Character that brought misery to mankind is something that’s difficult to comprehend. Perhaps the reason is the characteristics of each charm used to create one bracelet; each charm design is unique and has its own identity. And when they are all combined to create one piece of jewelry, that piece of jewelry exudes elegance and class.

In this aspect you could say that every piece of Pandora Charm Bracelets / Pandora Jewelry are “All Gifted”.

Pandora Charms or Pandora Jewelry also contradicts another description of the mythological character. Contrary to being the cause of evil and misery to mankind, Pandora Jewelry actually contributes to society. It supports the S.G. Komens foundation and Hurricane Katrina Victims by donating a portion of their sales of certain charms to their foundations. Under this context, we could say that perhaps, Pandora Jewlery possess or provides the last blessing left in the vessel: ‘Hope’.

Pandora charms and Pandora Jewelry are excellent items. These are classic jewelry that could fit and match any outfit. Whether you are in your casual clothing or formal attire, Pandora Charm Bracelets are sure to match it. In its distinct and creative way, these items have changed the meaning of their brand from being something vengeful to something beautiful and elegant.

A casino can be defined as a venue where the certain types of gambling activities take place. Usually a casino can be found near hotels, restaurants, retail shopping, cruise ships and other tourist attractions. Five-star hotels commonly have casinos combined with them. In some casinos, people can find some entertainment events like stand-up comedy, concerts and sporting events too. Online casino is the internet version of this casino and their turnover is overtaking the traditional casinos.

The original meaning of the word “Casino” is small villa or summerhouse or pavilion for the purpose of having pleasure. During the 17th century, one of the first known casinos was started in Venice. It is in 19th century, that the term “casino” was applied to buildings gambling and sports took place. There are few casinos which were not used for gambling activities like Copenhagen Casino in Denmark and Hanko Casino in Finland. In America, the casinos were formerly known as saloons. The saloons were the common place for gathering of the people. At that time, four major cities namely; New Orleans, St. Louis, Chicago and San Francisco greatly contributed to the existence of the saloons.

During the beginning of the 20th century, gambling was banned in America and casinos had to almost close shop. In 1931, the scenario was completely changed when Nevada State legalized the gambling and hence Las Vegas City became the heaven of gambling. Usually in US, the people of age 18 years and above are allowed in casinos. In other parts of the world, it ranges from 16-21 years.

There are many gambling games that are offered in a casino such as slot machines, craps, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, poker and others. In casinos, the games are designed in such a way that the casino always has the advantages over the players. There are some terms which are commonly used in a casino like house edge, rake, payout, playing with house money and comps etc.

About the Author

The online casino has evolved and is used in the same way as a normal casino but from the comfort of one’s own home. All of the terms stay the same and the games are of course the same too!

When it comes to cruising, the Caribbean and the Med used to be the first destinations on everyone’s lips, but these days Baltic cruises are fast catching up with the traditional favourites. Think stunning scenery, island settings, fairytale castles and Viking history and you’ve got just a fraction of what this fascinating region has to offer. Stops in countries like Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Germany and Norway put you right on the doorstop of some of the world’s richest culture and history.

Take a voyage of discovery to cities built on clusters of islands and harbours lined with fishing boats. The Baltic’s strong maritime traditions make a cruise the best way to explore. With departures from UK ports and the friendly, accessible Baltic countries just a short flight away, there’s no excuse for missing out. These are just some of the special places Baltic cruises might take you:

Copenhagen

Copenhagen is something of a design mecca, with its stylish bars and restaurants, interiors shops and designer boutiques. Stroll beside canals and through medieval streets, ride the rollercoasters at the magical Tivoli theme park, gaze out to sea beside the statue of Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid and stand in the courtyard of Amalienborg’s four royal palaces.

Oslo

At the tip of a spectacular fjord, it’s no wonder the best way to arrive in the Norwegian capital is by cruise. With its green hills and medieval fortress, Oslo has natural splendour and historic charm by the bucket load. See the longboats and skeletons of the Viking Ship Museum, soak up the history of the 13th century Akershus castle and learn about the Peace Prize winners at the Nobel Peace Centre.

Stockholm

Spread across 14 islands and connected by countless bridges, Stockholm is a staggeringly beautiful city. Wander through Gamla Stan, the city’s 13th century old town, explore everything from Bronze age treasures to modern art in the many excellent museums, and take a boat tour through Stockholm’s canals, under its bridges or round the thousands of surrounding islands and islets.

Tallinn

For a taste of old Europe, medieval Tallinn simply can’t be beaten. The Estonian capital might have seen its share of 21st century modernisation, but the aged charm remains in the cobbled streets of its chocolate box old town. Fall for its rustic buildings, onion-domed cathedral, exquisite castle and city walls, with their turreted guard towers, surrounded by greenery and oozing with atmosphere.

Hamburg

Cool and cosmopolitan, Germany’s second city is a watery metropolis, with its river, lakes and many canals. On the banks of the Elbe River, Hamburg is a major port, home to one of the world’s busiest harbours. Take a stroll in the city’s many parks, gaze at the scenic Alster lake, go designer shopping and discover striking architecture old and new.

St Petersburg

The Russian capital up until the revolution, St Petersburg was built to impress. This grand home of the tsars is packed with magnificent palaces, churches and cathedrals. Explore the city’s islands and canals, then discover Russia’s finest art collection at the Hermitage, home to works by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and many other illustrious names.

Helsinki

Rebuilt by the Tsars of Russia in the early 19th century, Helsinki’s Soviet influence blends with its small-town friendliness and quirky cool. Summer’s the best time to visit, when the city’s full of happy Finns enjoying bars and cafes in the sunshine. There are plenty of watery wonders, like the busy central harbour, the great sea fortress Suomenlinna, and many charming little islands.

Other popular Baltic ports of call include Riga in Latvia, Gdansk in Poland, Gothenberg and Visby in Sweden, Danish ports such as Aarhus, and German ports like Bremerhaven, close to the city of Bremen. So why not save the Med for another year and try a Baltic cruise this summer?

Travellers wanting to take in the sights and sounds of the Baltic region within a relatively short timeframe might want to consider taking a Baltic cruise.

The countries around the Baltic Sea – including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany and several eastern European nations – have a rich and diverse variety of attractions for holidaymakers to see.

Cruise goers with a penchant for history will be in their element in the Baltic region, as the area has been involved in the Crusades, World War I and II, and numerous smaller battles over the years.

Those with a bent towards the modern are also likely to be pleased by the culture-rich cities that a cruise in the Baltic takes in, meaning that there will be something for everyone to see.

For example, if you are thinking of booking a two-week Baltic cruise from a port such as Southampton, you might find that your itinerary includes the likes of Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Oslo and Kristiansand, each of which have their own charms and attractions.

Copenhagen boasts famous sights such as Tivoli Gardens – which offers amusement park attractions for all the family – and the Little Mermaid statue.

St Petersburg is an intriguing Russian city that has impressive architectural attractions such as the Winter Palace and the Mikhailovsky Palace, as well as the bustling shops and nightlife of Nevsky Prospekt.

If you have an interest in eastern Europe and its unique culture, a stop in Tallinn may be just the destination for you, with its medieval Old Town and structures from the city’s period under Russian rule.

Of course, there is so much more to the Baltic than these three cities – and a cruise in the Baltic may be the perfect way to absorb the wonders of northern Europe in true comfort and style.
